We are looking for an experienced GI Medical Biller with expertise in GI billing, pathology, anesthesia, and surgical facility billing for our client, a rapidly growing GI private practice with multiple locations across NYC. The ideal candidate must have prior experience in a private practice setting and a strong understanding of insurance claims, coding, and reimbursement processes. - Manage the full-cycle billing process for GI procedures, pathology, anesthesia, and surgical facility services.
- Submit, track, and follow up on insurance claims to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement.
- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits before services are rendered.
- Review and resolve claim denials and billing discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding for gastroenterology services.
- Stay updated on payer policies, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance requirements.
- Work closely with physicians, office staff, and insurance providers to streamline billing operations.
Job requirements:
- Experience in a private practice setting is required.
- Strong knowledge of GI billing, pathology billing, anesthesia billing, and surgical facility billing.
- Proficiency in medical coding and billing software.
- Familiarity with insurance guidelines and reimbursement processes.
- Ability to troubleshoot claim denials and maximize revenue cycle efficiency.
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
- On-site work in Brooklyn, NY, is preferred (EST time zone).
