Paralegal (Personal Injury Law)

$20 - $30 per hour | Valley Stream, Long Island, New York, United States | Legal

Our client is looking for a talented paralegal for its reputable law firm in Valley Stream, Long Island, NY, specializing in personal injury law (specifically car accidents). This position is open to both entry-level and experienced candidates.

Responsibilities:

• Sort and organize emails, file, scan, and maintain office files
• Conduct client intake, follow up with clients, and manage calendars
• Assist with administrative tasks and ensure smooth office operations
• Draft and file legal documents, including complaints, interrogatories, subpoenas, and deposition notices
• Help with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, coordinating witnesses, and conducting legal research
• Order, review, and summarize medical records for case preparation
• Support settlement conferences, mediation, and negotiations with providers or insurance companies
• Organize case filing systems for easy access and retrieval

Job requirements:

• Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Attention to detail and a willingness to learn and grow in the legal field
• Experience in personal injury law (specifically car accidents) or a similar practice area is preferred for more experienced candidates
